JC Build Co is committed to making jcbuildco.com accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and to the accessibility principles reflected in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Measures we take
- Semantic HTML structure with proper headings, landmarks, and labels.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images.
- Keyboard-operable navigation, sliders, and forms, including a "skip to content" link.
- Sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds.
- Support for reduced-motion preferences — animations are disabled for visitors who request it in their device settings.
- Responsive design that supports zoom up to 200% and a wide range of screen sizes and devices.
- Form fields with visible labels and clear error messaging.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We review the site as we add new content and features, and we work to remedy issues as we become aware of them. Some third-party content or embedded tools may not fully meet our standards; where possible, we choose providers that support accessibility.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some project photography and video content may lack full text alternatives, and some older content may not yet meet every WCAG 2.1 AA criterion. We are working to address these areas.
